Peiroun
   The hero of a Taiwanese Creation Legend. He was warned that when the faces of the idols Awun and Infoniwoo in a nearby temple turned red in colour there would be a deluge. One day this happened and he hurriedly boarded a ship just in time to see the island of Maurigasma, of which he was ruler, vanish beneath the waves.
